Ennerdale Water 25km Trail run

At last the finish

great race on the full 25K Trail course, the first time I have ever run it. It was the most hardest course I have ever run but the views and weather were great for once. I took about 2:40 to run the course and this year I only fell twice, however I did fall into a pool of freezing cold fell water that went complexity over my head and certainly put a spring in my step just to keep warm.

The Ennerdale Water 7.36 mile Trail run (should have been 10k)

After some dreadful weather over the lakes due to storm Brian, it was a shame that they had made a slight detour on the route and missed out the best bit anglers crag however it put a mile or so on the total distance. During the event we had worse weather than last year the wind howled at 40mph and near to the bottom of the lake it rained on us. A great race over some very rough tracks including numerous bogs. Hopefully will be back next year and try again. in the end i come 18th out of 99 runners.

The Buckingham 10k run

A good pace was set at the Buckingham 10k from the MBUK runners. The course was very hilly and went along the lanes and tracks through Stowe park. I come 20th out of 197 – and 4th in my age group so was well pleased with the result. Julian, Sandy and Danny got great results on what was a tough course. Next big Buckingham race will be the half marathon so will have to enter .

Olney Runners – Squeaky Bone relay race

A great turn out of the MBUK runners – Stewart, Danny, MItch,  & Jules run the very muddy 3.5 mile cross-country course in a time of 01:52:13 making us 34th out of 124th. It was hard work over some very wet fields and Bridleways but the rain held off for most of the race. We will hopefully be back for this event next year it was well-organised by Onley runners. Chip timing was by Results Base and can be viewed here.
